Following the success of the Hound of the Baskervilles at the Lichfield Garrick, we can announce that the production is to be performed outdoors in partnership with Cannock Chase Heritage and Mining museum. Performances will take place on Friday August 19th and Saturday August 20th 2016. More details to follow.


At The Crossroads – Workshops

Open auditions and workshop opportunities are now available for people of all abilities to be part of a unique performance in Lichfield.

At The Crossroads: The Bible, The Blues and Burlesque will be a piece of theatre that uses the arts of storytelling, blues music and dance to deliver a witty but thought-provoking question: What if?

In conjunction with Lichfield Mysteries (2015), Fired Up Theatre Company, the company which produced The Wall, Quadrophenia, 23, The Colin Grazier Enigma and The Fell Walker, will produce Crossroads at the Lichfield Garrick Studio in May next year. The piece has been devised by last year’s Staffordshire Poet Laureate Mal Dewhirst and Simon Quinn, director of Fired Up Theatre, and participants will be contributing to the development of the piece.

The search is now on for budding actors, dancers and musicians to contribute and take part in the production. People who are interested in being a part of this exciting community arts project, led by Lichfield Mysteries and Fired Up Theatre Company, are invited to the following workshops at The Lichfield Room, Wade Street Church, Frog Lane, Lichfield:

Tuesdays November 19 & 26, 7-30 to 9-30 pm
Wednesdays December 11 & 18, 7-30 to 9-30pm

The Fellwalker is a stage adaption  written by Mal Dewhirst and Simon Quinn fron the book by Michael Wood. 

Set in the Lake District and Manila – a series of unexplained deaths out on the fells are investigated by local reporter Ben Foxley who faces pressure from a London Media Organisation, the local police leading to a dramatic conclusion, will he solve the clues that point to events in his childhood to prevent the deaths of those who live close to home.

The premier is on 17th January 2014 at the Penritih Playhouse in Cumbria.
